CHOCOLATE PEANUT SLICE



Preheat oven to 180 ° C. Grease a deck (mine is 31 cm x 22cm). Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Melt the butter (or margarine) and mix

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 200g butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • Glaze (optional)
  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa
  • 3-4 tablespoons of hot water


DIRECTION
  • Preheat oven to 180 ° C. 
  • Grease a deck (mine is 31 cm x 22cm). Mix all dry ingredient a large bowl.
  • Melt the butter (or margarine) and mix the dry ingredients, add eggs, mix well, then press the tray. 
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  • Mix the icing sugar and cocoa, add warm water a tablespoon at a time until you spread frosting. 
  • Spread over hot slice. 
  • When cold, cut into squares (I like to share my tray 8 x 6 places - beautiful bites).
