CARAMEL SLICE RECIPE




14 SLICES


INGREDIENTS


  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup of oatmeal
  • 150g butter, melted
  •  395g NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk
  •  2 tablespoons of golden syrup
  •  30 g butter, plus

 
DIRECTION


  • Preheat oven to 180 ° C.
  • Combine first five ingredients in a bowl and mix well. 
  • Press support paper lined baking tray 18cm x 28cm lamington.
  • Bake for 10 minutes until golden.
  • Sweetend Combine condensed milk, corn syrup and additional butter in a saucepan, bring to a boil while stirring.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring until a light brown color and becomes caramel.
  • Pour the caramel over the cooked base, return to oven, bake for another 10 minutes.
  • Cool.
  • Spread chocolate caramel cooking filling. 
  • Let stand in pan before unmolding. 
  • Cut into slices or squares to serve.
