RUM BABA


                                                  

INGREDIENTS
  • 60 g sugar (1/8 lbs)
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 130 g flour (1 + 1/6 cups)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder (baking powder)
  • salt, butter 
FOR THE SYRUP
  • 1/2 liter of water (2 cups)
  • 200 g powdered sugar (7/8 cup)
  • 6 tablespoons vinegar
 
DIRECTION
  • Turn the oven to 180 ° C (gas mark 6, 350 ° F).
  • In a bowl, beat egg yolks and sugar until the mixture whitens. Add the milk.
  • Then, without insisting, flour sifted with baking powder.
  • Beat until stiff egg whites lightly salted. 
  • Fold them gently into batter.
  • Grease pan. Pour the batter who should fill it ¾ only. 
  • Bake in moderate oven for about 20 minutes. 
  • Unmold the baba from the oven and then replace it hot in the pan while preparing syrup.
SYRUP   
  • Boil water with sugar for 2 minutes. 
  • Remove from heat and add vinegar
  • Immediately pour the hot baba, still in its mold.
  • When the baba is completely soaked, unmold on the serving dish.
